Perhaps Leap Learning Systems’ best known program, Language for Scholars (LFS) uses an innovative approach to improve the speaking and writing skills of older students. Leap’s staff either delivers LFS directly to students, or trains educators to implement the program in their own classrooms.
In this unique program, school age, high school and older students who are preparing for advanced education and entry into the workplace receive individualized coaching that targets some of the more nuanced – but very important – elements of speaking and writing. Each student’s skills are professionally analyzed, and personal goals are then identified that guide participants’ work over the course of the program. LFS offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to receive professional coaching on verbal presentation, writing style, Academic English, business etiquette and body language – skills that, while often taken for granted, are required to gain access to opportunities in the world at large.
Leap Learning Systems understands that the ability to use Academic English can broaden social, educational, and economic opportunities by expanding young people’s verbal effectiveness and confidence beyond their immediate community. Knowing how and when to use Academic English can be the key that unlocks the door to broader educational and financial opportunities.

LFS can be as intense as the recipient wants it to be – from a one-day intensive to a series of classes over six weeks. Like all of Leap Learning Systems’ programs, LFS can be tailored to the specific needs of schools, students and teachers.
